Where it all came together.
After a term and a bit at print making class I took a retirement holiday in Perth. A print in the Kings Park visitors centre, by local artist Nicola Cowie, with beautiful Western Australian plants, caught my attention, and was the inspiration for this print of an Anthurium plant in a blue pot.

The process for this one started with a miniature.

Followed by a black and white print

That was in turn hand coloured in watercolours. This pic is about 90% done.

The next step is to take a photo, crop and adjust the colour balance, mostly increasing the saturation to brighten the colours.
As they say, I haven’t looked back and follow this process for most of my prints now.
