
I’ve seen this tree by the side of the road nearly every day for the last seven years. I don’t know what its formal name is.

I was finally inspired to do its portrait, so elegant and slim. As this is my first Lino of a tree, I hope I’ve done it justice.
For this archive I’ve added a little digital colour. The original print is, of course, black and white.
I started the work in January, and finally finished it in May. The work is quite large, about 70 cm tall, so I had to use the Art Centre press. No printing this one at home!
