EVERYDAY DIGITAL ART
Lino. Photography. An archive of images.
I’m exploring my creative side after a career with numbers, creating colourful digital images through various media.
Use the post and homepage #hashtags to filter by media, theme or colour - or just explore randomly.
Lino prints are hand coloured and then digitally enhanced for colour balance.
Photography is straight out of camera.
There is a smattering of other media. Etching includes drypoint and tetra pack work, and together with ink works are similarly hand coloured before being photographed.
I’m calling this Everyday Art because I don’t pretend otherwise.
To each image I have added context notes, creating a history of my work. Naming has year and month to give an approximate timeline to the work, so I (and you) can see how it has developed over time. The good and the bad (well, there are gaps in the sequence so not the truly awful!) are all included.
My digital art (and stories) has been moved to dbwords.quotion.co
I’m not on social media yet.

A few wriggly pen lines, and a bit of colour, the impression of mountains on the horizon. Just playing around. ———————————————————— Technique: #draw Theme: #landscape Highlight colour: #black #yello

0151- 2025.03 Four Flowers
After 0147, I thought it may look nice in my lounge room, but the colours were wrong. Easily fixed! The previous print, Van Gogh’s cornfield, had faded and looked drab, but was in a very large frame

0295 - 2026.06 Yellow Meadow
I haven’t done much Lino art over the last couple of months, so this was getting my hand back into it. The design is based on a dream, where the dream was more vivid and better, as if often the case.

Inspired by my ‘Three Flowers’ that I did for charity (0164), I expanded the concept to five, and used the same colouring. It’s part of a set hanging in a nice brown frame at home. ——————————————————

Eucalyptus trees lose their bark in summer. This one caught my eye at the local park, with the high morning sun casting vertical shadows and a clear white light. Technique: #photo Theme: #tree Highli
