
A bit of a cheat on this one, let me explain. The original was a drawing of a shell on Japanese drypoint paper. The print itself is rubbish, but as sometimes happens the original unwashed surface looks attractive.
So in compiling this archive (two years later) I took a photo, fuzzied it up digitally, gave it a cooler shade and here is the modified image.
