
With our regular teacher overseas, the substitute teacher had us doing monoprints.
It’s quite good fun but I find laying out bits of shrubbery and inking them up is less creative than designing for Lino. The results can be pleasing.
Which is a way of saying it’s not my favourite thing, though I have an unopened Gell kit in case I want to do it again, I’m thinking more backgrounds rather than the main event, and need to get my head around it first.
