As a class project we did postcards to reflect a poem by Antigone Kefala, a poet known to the tutor.
I chose Song of Songs from her book Fragments.
I send you the echoes of light
that move on the waters
below the Moreton Bay figs.
Give yourself to me
and I shall save you from time
save you from sorrow
as the songs have promised.I did two prints, one in blue, one in black which I water coloured.
The postcards will be sent to the library in Braila, Romania where Antigone is remembered, being the city of her birth.
