EVERYDAY DIGITAL ART
Lino. Photography. An archive of images.
I’m exploring my creative side after a career with numbers, creating colourful digital images through various media.
Use the post and homepage #hashtags to filter by media, theme or colour - or just explore randomly.
Lino prints are hand coloured and then digitally enhanced for colour balance.
Photography is straight out of camera.
There is a smattering of other media. Etching includes drypoint and tetra pack work, and together with ink works are similarly hand coloured before being photographed.
I’m calling this Everyday Art because I don’t pretend otherwise.
To each image I have added context notes, creating a history of my work. Naming has year and month to give an approximate timeline to the work, so I (and you) can see how it has developed over time. The good and the bad (well, there are gaps in the sequence so not the truly awful!) are all included.
My digital art (and stories) has been moved to dbwords.quotion.co
I’m not on social media yet.

0258 - 2025.11 Sow and pigs channel marker, at dawn
There’s a fairly substantial channel marker in Port Jackson, sitting on a reef in the main channel. Definitely a hazard to shipping. On a calm morning there is no bustle of ferries, shipping and plea

0259 - 2025.11 Hornby Light, early morning
After doing Robertson Point I thought I could do a series on lighthouses in Port Jackson. This is Hornby Light. High on South Head, together with the leading light at Mosman it guides shipping into S

Robertson Point sits at the end of the Cremorne peninsula in Sydney Harbour. The lighthouse is iconic and much photographed. Walking the dog there recently reminded me of it, and how in the evening t

Recording this for posterity, this was lesson number one, cutting and inking a piece of Lino. As you can see registration wasn’t perfect, and as time has since shown one of very few two colour reduct

Trying to develop a better landscape style I came up with this design. This was the sketch I did to inspire this work. The same but different, the pen can do things the cutting tools cannot. Foolish
