EVERYDAY DIGITAL ART
Lino. Photography. An archive of images.
I’m exploring my creative side after a career with numbers, creating colourful digital images through various media.
Use the post and homepage #hashtags to filter by media, theme or colour - or just explore randomly.
Lino prints are hand coloured and then digitally enhanced for colour balance.
Photography is straight out of camera.
There is a smattering of other media. Etching includes drypoint and tetra pack work, and together with ink works are similarly hand coloured before being photographed.
I’m calling this Everyday Art because I don’t pretend otherwise.
To each image I have added context notes, creating a history of my work. Naming has year and month to give an approximate timeline to the work, so I (and you) can see how it has developed over time. The good and the bad (well, there are gaps in the sequence so not the truly awful!) are all included.
My digital art (and stories) has been moved to dbwords.quotion.co
I’m not on social media yet.

Sunrise at my local park at dawn. A quick snap while walking the dog. The fog was just rising but elsewhere around the harbour the fog lingered for a few hours. Not really “art”, published as a tes

Driving into Cooma back in January the boulders on the Monaro Plain are a distinctive feature of the landscape. Unable to stop, I later consulted the internet for an image close to what I had seen ou

Inspired by something I saw in a drawing book. The photo needs to be colour balanced, it’s a bit yellow, but I loaded this when first building the site. The red house was intended to be a black shape

Carved on a small offcut quickly, it is not perfect but has some charm nonetheless. I originally coloured this in green and blue but it looked insipid. The yellow and orange gives more of a late afte

I was playing around with Drypoint technique on tetra pack, cutting items to shape. In this case it’s a rough island shape with a smaller ‘reflection’ to match. The resulting print was fine - see be

0178 - 2025.05 experiments in cooking
Around the beginning of May I start to experiment with multimedia. In this print I’m using over-inked tetra pack shapes and biro and some watercolour. I have a large envelope of experimental drawings
